PDF's open slow in Adobe Reader DC

Open Acrobat

Go to Edit > Preferences > General

Uncheck the option, Show online storage when opening files & Show online storage when saving files

Then click on the Security (enhanced) tab and deselect "Enable protected mode at start up" and click OK.

PDF's should open quickly within Adobe Reader DC.
